Gettin’ Fitness’d

Sometimes I have good ideas.  Other times, I’m just an idiot.  My friend Jennifer is a health coach (check out her fancy website here: jennifernarula.com) and I thought:

“Hey.. why don’t I join her health group for the month of March? Support her new job thingy”
“GREAT IDEA KAT.  Maybe we’ll shed a pound or two. Get some fitness!”
“Totally! Maybe we’ll look like Buff Bunny at the end!!”
“YASSS”

There are times when I do talk to myself…… It helps me feel less crazy?  Today is day 1 of the 21 Day Fix Plan.  I already kinda eat healthy-ish so this should be cake right? O.o  Nope.  I spent about 3-4 hours in my kitchen yesterday cooking meals for a few days.  I think I’m doing it wrong because I don’t think it’s suppose to take that long to do!  AND I didn’t even finish :O  Here’s the breakdown of my meals for today:

Meal 1: 2 hard boiled eggs & yogurt
Meal 2: grapes (snack)
Meal 3: ground turkey w/ corn, green bell peppers, and onions and cilantro lime rice
Meal 4: celery w/ Peanut butter (snack)
Meal 5: salad w/ chicken, avocado, homemade vinaigrette, and pumpkin seeds
Meal 6: carrots (snack)

Yes, 6 meals.  Maybe that’s why it took me so long to prep.  I’m pretty excited to eat some of this stuff (hey…I like food!) but I hope I don’t get tired of repetitive meals.  I like fresh food so I’ll be cooking in the middle of the week–STEAK TACOS FTW! I never made it to the carrots. Just wasn’t hungry enough I spose. Can’t force myself to eat….while dieting…. That would be strange!

If anyone is interested in this process or want to see more, I can post a more detailed blog of it.  Otherwise, I’ll just comment on it in comparison to my life and how I’m liking it.  I’ve been told that I can only eat 2 servings of 3/4 of a cup of carbs (got that?).  No carbs=no energy for Kat.  Also, I can only have THREE GLASSES OF RED WINE ONLY.  How do you tell a lady that you can ONLY drink THREE glasses of (ONLY) red wine?  What about straight up whiskey?? That’s like a healthy carb right?  I do hope that I’ll be able to make it through this process.  I do love my beverages.  Oh.. And caffeine? Black coffee only.  My kidneys want to turn over just thinking about it.  I’m resorting to the caffe americanos with a splash of nonfat milk and sugar free (YES SUGAR FREE) vanilla syrup. I am seriously becoming a new woman.  Possibly angry new woman 😉
