Limon Drop Cocktail Recipe

A cocktail version of a lemon drop martini.

I’ve made a promise to myself that I’d write this today. It may not be a good idea, but I’m going to do it anyway. If it ends up being a hot mess, we can edit in post! **edit: already correcting my crap grammar**

Now that I’m on drink number 5? it’s a fantastic time to write a recipe for a it. I wasn’t in the mood for a martini nor holding a martini glass. In order to confirm that I used the appropriate amounts, I had to taste test, right? Trial and error? So confirmed. I drank seven. Here’s the recipe!

Limon Drop Cocktail

Limon Drop Cocktail
This is what I used for a Friday night I-just-want-to-have-a-drink cocktail

  • glass (holds about a cup of liquid)
  • 1 1/4 oz of lemon vodka (I used le Citron Grey Goose)
  • 1 1/4 oz of limeade (only thing I had so I changed the entire recipe heh)
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup
  • ice
  • optional: sugar for the rim

Fancy Instructions:

  1. Grab a plate and put sprinkle sugar down enough to rim the glass
  2. If you have a lime/lemon, cut a wedge and wet the rim of the glass
  3. Rim the glass with sugar
  4. Add about a tablespoon worth of simple syrup in your glass–enough to coat the bottom of your glass
  5. Add your vodka. I stirred it at this point so that the vodka and sugar become one like the Spice Girls song.
  6. Add your ice almost to the top
  7. Fill the rest of the glass with limeade
  8. DRINK

After your 5th drink:

  1. Pour simple syrup in your glass
  2. Add your vodka
  3. Add your ice
  4. Fill the rest with limeade
  5. Sprinkle sugar on top (to, I don’t know, be fancy maybe?)
  6. DRINK

And that’s it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have tonight. Let’s not talk until tomorrow in the afternoon.
