The creative juices are flowin’ and we are at it again with another drink. I don’t discriminate when it comes to liquor (unless it’s malort D: ). It’s 5pm on a Sunday and I’m going to have at LEAST two of these today.
I present to you, Cosmo Love, my version of a Cosmopolitan. We don’t waste time talking about how pretty it is or why I drink these or any of that BS. It’s delicious and you should try it too.
Don’t mind the two cutting boards I used as a back drop. 😀
Cosmo Love Recipe
- 1 martini glass
- 2 oz vodka (I used Citron Grey Goose, one of my favs)
- 1 oz triple sec or Cointreau if you’re fancy
- 1 oz cranberry juice
- 1 oz lime juice (juice from a half a lime)
- splash of simple syrup
Instructions:
- Place your glass in the freezer while you get your drink together.
- Pour your vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice, lime juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
- Grab your ice and place it in the shaker.. Shake it up! (I crushed my ice into little pieces. Crushed iced adds more water to the drink.)
- Grab your glass out of the freezer and strain the shaker into your glass.
- OPTIONAL. Cut a piece of orange peel and rub it all over the glass. Throw it in! I say optional because I usually don’t have oranges available and I hate having naked oranges around. I always feel guilty when I don’t eat them…
