This drink recipe is dedicate to a select group of ladies at my work place. We have been meeting virtually since the pandemic began and have helped me more than they think. I was telling them how I’m trying to get back to my creative side (like literal creation 😀 ) and here they go giving ME the creative juices (not literal?) to put this recipe together.
This drink might already exist, but I haven’t had it at a bar, nor have I seen it on a menu anywhere. This is not saying much since I haven’t left the house in a year to go to a bar so who the heck really knows now!
Let me present, the Long Island Martini! Please be warned, this drink will knock you off your feet. I had one while writing this and I’m on the struggle bus.

Long Island Martini Recipe:
- 3/4 oz vodka
- 3/4 oz gin
- 3/4 oz blanco tequila
- 3/4 oz white rum
- 3/4 oz triple sec
- 3/4 lemon juice
- 3/4 simple sugar
- splash of cola
- ice
Instructions:
- Place your glass in the freezer while you get your drink together.
- Pour your vodka, gin, tequila, rum, triple sec, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
- Grab your ice and place it in the shaker.. Shake it up! (I crushed my ice into little pieces. Crushed iced adds more water to the drink.)
- Grab your glass out of the freezer and strain the shaker into your glass.
- Snag your favorite cola and give it a splash!
- OPTIONAL. You can throw a maraschino cherry at the bottom of the glass before you pour your drink in the glass or add it in afterward. Cut a piece of lemon peel and rub it all over the glass. Throw it in!
Cheers ladies. May your glasses stay full always.
